Bold, alive, energetic, and cheerful are all words people use to describe my paintings. That's just what I love to hear!

For me, energy and color are inexorably linked. I look for the essential element every subject projects and then try to capture it on canvas. When you enter a room where one of my paintings is hanging, I want you to feel the energy I felt when I set out to capture that perfect moment.

I work in a variety of media, including pastels, watercolors, glass, ceramics mixed media and photography. I find, though, that instead of distracting me from painting in oils, these forms have enhanced my painting and led to my main body of work in oil on canvas.

I recently moved my studio to Santa Fe, New Mexico and began the latest chapter in an eclectic career. After studying and working in Toronto Canada, where I attended Ontario College of Art and exhibiting extensively in Ontario and Quebec, I moved to Southern California. While living and painting there full time I exhibited in Palm Springs, Laguna Beach, Redlands, Pomona, San Bernardino, Long Beach and Claremont, winning many awards along the way, including the "People's Choice" Award at a recent Millard Sheets Gallery show.
